Our Lady of Hope Pastoral Council Minutes
Wednesday March 11, 2026
Attendees: Fr. Antony, Ron Madrid, John Hines, Frank Leone, Valera Goff, Ellen Rossoni and Donna Burchell
Opening Prayer: Given by Fr. Antony
Approval of Minutes: Approved by Frank and Ellen
Ministry Reports:
   Finance: Ron has not gotten a response from the Diocese. Fr. Antony advised him to call Jan Kessler. She will be able to give him the instructions as to what he will need to do.
The Catholic Appeal information will be investigated by Fr. Antony and then he may be able to get the information to Ron.
   CCD: Sonya could not attend. Valera reported that Sonya and the Women’s Club are going to make Easter baskets to be given out at Easter Mass to all the children.
There is one girl receiving her first communion on the first Sunday of May. Second Sunday of May is Mother’s Day.
   Building and Grounds: John requested that the Papal flag be replaced. Ellen will see about ordering one.
The curb coming into the church needs to be repainted. He will investigate how and who would do that. The weeds need to be sprayed. John and Frank will do that in the future.
The Deacon and his crew are coming this weekend to see what needs to be done to move the statue of Mary.
   Liturgy: Ellen and Fr. Antony reported there will be 3 people coming into the church at the Easter Vigil.
Valera needs to find 2 lectures, one for Good Friday and one for Passon Sunday.
   Women’s Club: Easter basket project. Tabled the picnic until the fall.
 Old Business:
   Columbarium/Speakers: Frank reported we are waiting for approval from the diocese. Fr. Antony said it should come sometime this month.
Speakers will be looked at to see if we can put two inside the church on the wall, possibly wiring them from the ones already there on the other side.
   Church Directory: Fr. Antony gave Christina at St. Anns the information Valera had. She will contact Valera to work together on this project. The web site is Instant church directory.com.
New Business:
   Historian Replacement: We need someone to take over this position. Fr. Antony has the information that was given to him by Bob Quelette.
   Security issue was brought up. We can lock the side door during Mass. One of the Ushers will be near back of Church to monitor the doors.
